Our Curriculum
With the implementation of National Curriculum of Pakistan, the syllabus prescribed by the Local Ministry of Education for Islamic, Arabic, Moral Education and UAE Social Studies go hand in hand for different grade levels.
The curriculum encourages the students at all grade levels to develop a critical sense for wonder and curiosity about scientific, technological endeavors as well as to create social, communal, and cultural responsibilities.
Early Childhood Education (ECE)
“The ECE has been designed to improve personal, social, emotional & cognitive development”
Kindergarten (ECE)
Kindergarten curriculum in PHSS RAK is designed in such a manner that focuses thoroughly and circulates around basic and fundamental skills.
Play-based learning has been opted to carry out holistic development skills and building concepts.
We nurture the development of each child emotionally, academically, physically, socially, and creatively during the ECE years.
We aim to build strong foundation skills and competencies, and to make them curious about the world around them.
Cycle 1 and 2
At PHSS we consider cycle 1 and 2 as an integral opportunity for children to explore and discover as they develop their cognitive and other skills for holistic development.
For Grades I-VIII our curriculum is focused on the holistic development of our students with high skills in Arabic literacy and Islamic Studies along with Moral Education and USS which are equally focused.
We are committed to embracing the cross-curriculum priorities and general capabilities of the school curriculum.
Regular lesson is carried out and supported by co-curricular activities.
Cycle 3 (SSC and HSSC)
In Grade IX students are introduced to the Pakistani FBISE system with a variety of subjects including Biology/Computer Sciences, Chemistry, and Physics.
While the students are made focused for their board exams, we tend to work on their ethical values as well. Moral Education and Arabic are also included as a part of internal assessing subjects, keeping in view the importance of subjects provided by MOE.
Before starting Grade XI, HSSC students must choose between Pre-Medical and Pre-Engineering as major subject groups.
